I remember watching the series finale of Seinfeld back in 1998 and a commercial came on that was like nothing I'd seen before. Think Different it proclaimed. I had long forgotten about Apple Computer. That night they recaptured my focus. Soon thereafter I purchased my first laptop, an iBook. I never switched back.
What drew me to the commercial were the visions of creators. The designers of our spaces. The thinkers of our science. The artists of our beauty. The engineers of our tools.
Steve Jobs inspires me.
His vision and execution have provided me the tools and platform to make my neighbors lives a bit more comfortable. For that and so much more, I carry a heavy heart today. Not of merely sadness, but of deep appreciation and respect. Thanks, Steve.
