It turns out that taping grippy PVC to ABS plastic is hard, very hard. PVC becomes grippy by adding plasticizers. Wouldn't you know it, plasticizers love to eat-away acrylic adhesive. In short, that's why some gripper strips fail and peel up.
We've tried 3 different adhesives so far, but none have met our standard of uniform perfection.
Now with the engineering help of 3M and other expert companies, we've discovered the strongest, longest lasting adhesive tape along with a more reliable manufacturing process.
We're happy to share today that all new Prop 'n Go's come with the new enhanced gripper strips. For all previously purchased Prop 'n Go's, if they exhibit any peeling issues whatsoever, new strips will be shipped immediately free of charge. Please email or call to report any troubles.

Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 12:26PM I remember watching the series finale of Seinfeld back in 1998 and a commercial came on that was like nothing I'd seen before. Think Different it proclaimed. I had long forgotten about Apple Computer. That night they recaptured my focus. Soon thereafter I purchased my first laptop, an iBook. I never switched back.
What drew me to the commercial were the visions of creators. The designers of our spaces. The thinkers of our science. The artists of our beauty. The engineers of our tools.
Steve Jobs inspires me.
His vision and execution have provided me the tools and platform to make my neighbors lives a bit more comfortable. For that and so much more, I carry a heavy heart today. Not of merely sadness, but of deep appreciation and respect. Thanks, Steve.

Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:41PM This week we are sending out the last gripper strip fixes to customers. It is has taken longer than we had planned and hoped for. Thankfully our customers have responded with patience and resiliancy while we figured out the problem, solution, and logistics.
If you received replacement strips and are still having issues, please email or call us (872-222-PROP) right away. We promise to resolve any issues from this debacle.
Now that we have worked out the production kinks, production for the holidays is ramping up. Last year we simply couldn't meet demand, leaving store shelves empty for far too many days in December. Our #1 goal for the rest of the year is simple... STAY IN STOCK! It's easier said than done, especially considering we continue to have the #1 best selling iPad lap stand on Amazon.com. We are up for the challenge. Given what we've quickly learned in the last few months since debuting Prop 'n Go, we're game!

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 8:41PM Starting today, we began shipping replacement gripper strips to Prop 'n Go users. The packages contain two strips per Prop 'n Go and installation instructions.
To speed up the process, we are shipping the new strips as each production batch is ready, in order of purchase date.
